The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Virginia voters shows Senator John McCain enjoying advantages over both Hilary Clinton and Barack Obama. McCain leads Clinton 49% to 38% and Obama 45% to 43%.

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Virginia voters shows Senator John McCain enjoying advantages over both Hilary Clinton and Barack Obama. McCain leads Clinton 49% to 38% and Obama 45% to 43%.Governor Mitt Romney does not fair quite as well. He finds himself with a statistically insignificant lead over Clinton (44% to 43%) and six points behind Obama (47% to 41%). McCain’s numbers have improved significantly since the last Rasmussen Reports survey conducted in October. Nationally, McCain surge has put him in the lead against both Senators Clinton and Obama. A recent Rasmussen survey found that McCain attracts the least amount of core opposition of all the presidential candidates, with only 33% saying they will definitely vote against him. On the other side of the spectrum, Clinton and Romney have the highest level of core opposition among voters. Forty-seven percent (47%) say they will vote against each of these candidates no matter who else is on the ballot.
