But his effort has plateaued, and so Obama recently told The New York Times that he intends to confront Clinton more directly and draw more pointed distinctions.Clinton's camp reacted as though Obama had sent a cow pie sailing her way."Senator Obama once promised Americans a politics of hope," said spokesman Howard Wolfson.
