Simple poll on if we should remove affirmative action. Should people be treated by the color of their skin?
Liberals like keeping racism front and center and love the idea of people being treated differently according to their race.
The admittance that America has come a long way and that at some point we should at least have the goal of equality has to be one of the largest fears of the democratic party.
But things are much better, and though not perfect in some cases it's created reverse racism. If you're qualified for the schooling or job why should your race matter?
So when you apply for a college that college most likely has no idea of your race nor should they, but liberals want it to be an issue.
I'd hope to see an end to racism, but unfortunately the left will constantly make it an issue even far after racism is a thing of the past. |

| You can not deny that Racism is alive in America today. How do you expect those that have been held down for hundreds of years to just pull themselves up by there boot straps as though they had never been oppressed. I am not sure how long the institution should go but maybe when we begin to see an equal amount of African Americans on televion, Congress, and holding CEO positions it would be good. |

I think liberals want it to stay because it's a good issue for them. They want minorities to stay victims and never become equals. What would the bleeding heart liberals do if racism were abolished?
They'd have to spend all their time spitting on troops? Surely it's necessary to keep racism alive for liberals. |

You really believe it will be a problem? I agree it might always exist but as far as problematic in the workplace, in the justice system, etc. it's certainly not even close to 30 or even 15 years ago. |

I am sick and tired of you racists neo-conservatives calling affirmative action unnecessary. If you acknowledge the fact that racism will forever exits, then that is a means to keep the policy intact. Caucasions have had an advantage for over 300 years, and now it is time for minorities to get what is rightfully owed to them-OPPORTUNITY. Those who usually call for the abolition of affirmative action are those who usually harbor racist and sexist ideas. Conseravtives make me sick. Why are all the things you all say so damn stupid? I agree with bush08, if you can't change human thought, then the affirmative actions policies still will not work. Furthermore, liberals don't like to keep the idea of race in the forefront of society. Liberals are the ones who are pushing the policies of eqaulity. Afterall, the democratic party is the only true and diverse political party in this nation. oh yes, i am going to love this site!!!

| Well here's a delima for you all...Obama's wife made some comment about "Whities" and since this family is known to be parisheners of that Rev. who hates whites, guess this is a REAL CASE OF RACISM just against us whities eh? Time to stop the blame game people! We all have had relatives from the past that were slaves to someone. If you want us "whities" to start respecting you angry blacks for who you are than guit whining and causing so much racism yourselves. I never knew about racism growing up in the military untill we relocated to TX. from Europe. My parents never spoke ill of anyone or any culture. But when I came here the first thing I learned was that blacks hated me. I'm tired of hearing about it. So shut the hell up and get a life! |

Hiring a person BASED on Race IS racist, by definition.
Dignity and equality is truly achieved by refusing and then eliminating government assistance.
At my firehouse we all know who deserves the job and who doesnt. Affirmative action PROMOTES racism, where I work. And the quality of firefighter confims it. The guys hiding the bushes are the affirmitive action hires, the actual "firefighters" are the guys who aced the hiring tests. Affirmative action hires RETARD our ability for excellence , as a unit.
...And when Obama Hussein loses, it will be Republican recism that did it, guaranteed! (The built-in excuse for failure.) |
