Sen. Hillary Clinton appeared on the Fox & Friends morning news for the first time ever on Monday, saying she doesn't pay a lot of attention to the polls and feels "really, really good about where my campaign is." She brushed aside the latest poll from Iowa showing Sen. Barack Obama with a nine-point lead (See story).

She brushed aside the latest poll from Iowa showing Sen. Barack Obama with a nine-point lead (See story). "I believe that I will get the nomination and that I will be the next president," Clinton said.Sen. Clinton said right now, she's focusing on the "vision that I have for America" and "what I would do to hit that ground running on that very first day."She called Saturday's Des Moines Register endorsement a "great boost," and she said she'll keep "knocking on doors, making phone calls, talking to people" in the days ahead. Asked to name the "most important issue facing Americans," Sen. Clinton offered two choices: ending the war in Iraq "in the most expeditious and responsible way that we can" -- and health care. Prodded by anchor Steve Doucey, Mrs. Clinton said she takes the global war on terror "very seriously." She said the nation has a "long way to go" in making the country safe. She mentioned putting "competent, qualified people" in the right positions. And she said the country needs to enlist "more allies" in the war on terrorism.
