Clinton: The "ayes" of Texas primary voters may have been upon you Tuesday night, but Barack Obama did better in the caucuses, wiping out your small delegate gain in the Lone Star State. A primary and caucuses? Can it get any more confusing? Of course it can, and it probably will. The Democratic Party's candidate-picking process this year is a little like a knife fight in a small dark room: It won't be over 'til it's over - and when it is over, there'll be blood all over the walls. Small wonder Sen. John McCain was oozing serenity and good will Tuesday night - having just wrapped up the GOP nomination and accepted the congratulations of his last opponent, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee. McCain is no doubt thankful that his party didn't adopt the delegate-allocation nightmare now bedeviling Sens. Clinton and Obama. Some 26 million primary votes have been cast - roughly 12.9 million for Obama and 12.3 million for Clinton.
