Uncensored - Banned by the Media” tells the story of Peter Paul, a business mogul who, along with friend and business partner Stan Lee (creator of Spider Man), hoped to ratchet up business at their fledgling company (Stan Lee Media) by getting soon-to-be former president Bill Clinton to sign on as a “rainmaker” to promote business overseas.  According to the documentary, Paul was advised in February of 2000 by then-Democratic National Committee Chair Ed Rendell that if he was more likely to be successful in getting Bill Clinton to sign on if he became a major donor to both Al Gore’s presidential campaign and Hillary Clinton’s Senate campaign. Paul says in the documentary that his “interest in supporting Hillary Clinton” was specifically because he wanted to snag Bill.  What he got instead was the shaft, and Stan Lee Media ended up folding, despite its initial success - for not only did Bill Clinton not work his magic for the company, but Paul claims that he lured away Tendo Oto, a Japanese businessman who was one of Stan Lee Media’s chief investors.
