"(W)e need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime. We all know the litany of his offenses. He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation. ...And now he is miscalculating America s response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction. That is why the world, through the United Nations Security Council, has spoken with one voice, demanding that Iraq disclose its weapons programs and disarm. So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real, but it is not new. It has been with us since the end of the Persian Gulf War." -- John Kerry, Jan 23, 2003

By: Carrie Sheffield Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton was an enthusiastic supporter of Wal-Mart while she was first lady of Arkansas, according to new videos unearthed by the Center for Public Integrity, a journalistic watchdog group.Clinton served on the board of Wal-Mart from November 1986 to May 1992, according to the group, which maintains that she is skittish about her prior affiliation with the retail giant, which angers many progressive activists because of its labor practices. "I'm so proud of this company, and everything it represents," Clinton states in one of the videos released by the group. "Anytime I travel and I tell people I'm from Arkansas . . . Wal-Mart's on top of the list, and everybody wants me to tell them about Wal-Mart and Sam Walton and Helen Walton and all of the Wal-Mart associates. It makes me feel real good about what we're able to do and what we can show and the sort of leadership we're given."Source: Washington Times(video below)
