Hillary Rodham Clinton's rivals hit her from all sides last night at a New Hampshire Democratic presidential debate - slamming her performance on health care and her plans for Iraq. Foreign policy blended with a host of domestic issues during the two-hour debate at Dartmouth College in Hanover, with universal health care one of the most prominent issues of the evening.

Hillary Rodham Clinton's rivals hit her from all sides last night at a New Hampshire Democratic presidential debate - slamming her performance on health care and her plans for Iraq. Foreign policy blended with a host of domestic issues during the two-hour debate at Dartmouth College in Hanover, with universal health care one of the most prominent issues of the evening. From the start, John Edwards, who is polling in third place in New Hampshire, shot at Clinton, the front-runner, for saying she would continue to use U.S. troops in Iraq to hunt down terrorists, even as she claims she'd start to bring the troops home. "To me, that's a continuation of the war," said Edwards. "Combat missions mean that the war is continuing. I believe the war needs to be brought to an end." Clinton, who said Edwards had misstated her Iraq plan, barked back: "The vast majority of our combat troops should be out." Edwards also whacked Clinton for voting to designate Iran's Revolutionary Guard as "a foreign terrorist organization." "I have no intention of giving George Bush the authority to take the first step on a road to war with Iran," Edwards said.
