Hillary Rodham Clinton will find out once and for all how far she can get.Beyond all the feigned outrage and overheated warnings and creative lawyering under way in this Democratic delegate contest, she seems to have nothing to lose - and something personal to win - by keeping this fight alive.Unlike ordinary citizens, those in the electoral class tend to push their plans to the hilt without shame.Entitlement? Maybe. Doggedness would sound more flattering. But as an alert colleague noted weeks ago, this started out with Barack Obama presenting his candidacy as an underdog movement, under the banner or mantra of "change." Now, New York's junior senator carries on as if she's the underdog movement, under the assumed banner of fairness.Otherwise, for Clinton, it's back to stuff like subcommittee hearings, earmarks for Cooperstown and maybe a bit of down time in Westchester.So what the heck, the Clintonistas may figure. There's no reason three Senate seats, rather than two, can't go without their occupants' full attention for a little while longer.For those with long memories, the what-does-Hillary-want chant echoes the what-does-Jesse-want stuff of 1988.
