Hillary Clinton is vowing to stay in the race to the end, even as her staff and supporters show further signs of fraying.In an interview in Bowling Green, Ky., on Sunday where she was campaigning ahead of Tuesday's vote, Sen. Clinton said, "I'm still here because I think I would be the best president."

Hillary Clinton is vowing to stay in the race to the end, even as her staff and supporters show further signs of fraying.In an interview in Bowling Green, Ky., on Sunday where she was campaigning ahead of Tuesday's vote, Sen. Clinton said, "I'm still here because I think I would be the best president."However, faced with growing pressure to drop out of the race, Sen. Clinton is getting hit with conflicting advice from within her own camp. Some of her top strategists are warning that she is injuring her political future by staying in. Others -- notably her husband, former President Bill Clinton, and strategist Mark Penn -- are urging her to remain in the race. She has beaten Sen. Barack Obama in key swing states, they argue.In a fresh setback Monday, Sen. Robert Byrd, a Democratic elder statesman, endorsed Sen. Obama, despite Sen. Clinton's overwhelming victory last week in his home state of West Virginia.While Sen. Clinton continues to insist the race is far from over, Sen. Obama has increasingly treated it like it has long ended. Instead, he is pivoting to the general-election campaign against Sen. John McCain. On Tuesday, the Illinois senator was scheduled to go back to Iowa -- the site of his first big caucus victory over Sen. Clinton in early January, and a swing state in November.On Tuesday night, the Democratic front-runner plans to hold an election-night victory rally in Des Moines, Iowa. After Tuesday's voting, "We think we will have a majority of pledged delegates," Sen. Obama said Sunday after he and his family ate ice-cream sundaes at Lew's Dari-Freeze in Milwaukie, Ore.
