Barack Obama.He called on Mr. Penn to quit the Clinton campaign, and said his group would write to Sen. Clinton to request his dismissal.A Clinton spokesman said Sen. Clinton clearly opposed the Colombian trade pact and would vote against it. "She and Mark Penn have not discussed the deal, and Mark was not representing the campaign in the meeting," spokesman Phil Singer said.Mr. Penn retains Sen. Clinton's confidence, Mr. Singer said.Mr. Penn met Monday with Ambassador Carolina Barco Isakson in his capacity as chief executive of Burson-Marsteller Worldwide, an international communications and lobbying firm. The firm signed a contract in March 2007 to perform public-relations work to promote passage of the trade deal and other issues. The meeting was previously reported by The Wall Street Journal.
