"Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime ... He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America's response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction ... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real..." -- Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003

Hillary Clinton's latest campaign video features former President Bill Clinton huffing and puffing on a treadmill while drooling over a big, greasy double cheeseburger. The point? "Exercising is hard ... Caucusing is easy." The 2-1/2-minute video is part of an aggressive effort to educate Iowa voters about the Jan. 3 first-in-the-nation caucus. "We are launching an unprecedented 'Get out the caucus' effort to bring out our supporters, many of whom will be caucusing for the first time," Clinton spokesman Blake Zeff explained. The campaign plans to distribute the video through the mail, door to door and via the Internet. Staffers aim to take the video to voters' homes, coffee shops and church basements, with a goal of showing it to as many as 50,000 Iowans. The video also pokes fun at Iowa Gov. Vilsack can be seen cutting a rug awkwardly, with some cringe-inducing finger-pointing gestures. Hillary Clinton can be heard warbling the national anthem horribly off-key, a rendition that would undoubtedly elicit stinging criticism from Simon Cowell of "American Idol."
