Obama reaches out to the Muslim world…In his brief stopover at Turkey on his way to England, Barry took the occasion to express his “deep appreciation for the Islamic faith, which has done so much over the centuries to shape the world, including my own country.” Barack H. Obama’s biological father and stepfather were both Muslims. Log on to www.JoyTiz.com for more on that. The Turkey trip was not Obama’s first attempt to reach out to the Muslim world. Upon taking office, the first world leader to get a phone call from the new president was Palestinian leader, Mahmoud Abbas. Further embarrassing the nation and himself, Obama later announced his desire to negotiate with “moderate Taliban.”
