"Over the years, Iraq has worked to develop nuclear, chemical and biological weapons. During 1991 - 1994, despite Iraq's denials, U.N. inspectors discovered and dismantled a large network of nuclear facilities that Iraq was using to develop nuclear weapons. Various reports indicate that Iraq is still actively pursuing nuclear weapons capability. There is no reason to think otherwise. Beyond nuclear weapons, Iraq has actively pursued biological and chemical weapons.U.N. inspectors have said that Iraq's claims about biological weapons is neither credible nor verifiable. In 1986, Iraq used chemical weapons against Iran, and later, against its own Kurdish population. While weapons inspections have been successful in the past, there have been no inspections since the end of 1998. There can be no doubt that Iraq has continued to pursue its goal of obtaining weapons of mass destruction." -- Patty Murray, October 9, 2002

The current surge in Iraq is working for many reasons. More bombs in the Middle East means less bombs in the US and this is a proven fact, since there has been no terrorist attacks since 9/11. The Iraqis are barbarians and they have no feelings, no matter what they will hate us. That is why it is best that we stay the course in Iraq. Since sending more troops has proven being effective, I would advocate that we draft all the poor people and provide jobs and defense by sending them to the middle east. Blacks will finnaly have to get a job.
We must remember that we are fighting for liberty, freedom, and justice, so no matter what we do in Iraq we will still be the good guys. The battle for Iraq is about destroying Sadam Husain but since that has been accomplished the Iraqis have attacked us. This is unacceptable. We should be greeted as liberators since we are providing the Iraqis with freedom. Therefore I encourage you all to start a draft in Iraq. |

The Iraqis are not barbarians or the surge wouldn't be working at all. The military (US forces) have clearly said that there is less compliance with terrorist forces and Iraqis in general.
They're a good people as all people are, the surge has allowed them the breathing space from violence and a renewed confidence in US forces. On the flipside Al Quaeda keeps targeting civilians, and enough of this formula makes choosing sides with the US more palatable.
Interestingly enough against the fairly strict orders from Bin Laden and top Al Quaeda nutjobs whom you'd guess understand that constantly attacking civilians and then asking those same civilians to follow you is counterproductive to your agenda.
The Iraqis overwhelmingly are good people with terrorist and liberals wishing their demise everyday. The surge is not working in spite of them, it is working with and because of them. |

Clearly I missed this Southern Democrat racial tone, you're no Republican and an obvious democrat.
Democrats strive to hold down minority groups through social programs, where if they had complete control every city would resemble a welfare state such as New Orleans and "blacks" treated as second class welfare recipients and not equal Americans which they are.
We have a volunteer military and the left leadership in congress are the only leaders ever talking of a draft. Also labeling a group as the "poor" is the obvious telltale of a lefty. |

| How can any level minded American give a reason for the United States' constant presence in Iraq? Oh yeah, I forgot, you all are conservatives. Conservatives have a mental deficientcy. I know many people who proudly served in Iraq and Afghanistan and no matter which one I talk to, they all say that we have no business being there. The original mission was to disarm and destroy the terrorists strongholds in Afgahnistan, but the United States seen fit to attack a nation that had nothing to do with the 9/11 attacks. Furthermore, we are the nation that funded and supplied Saddam's weapons and destructive devices. If another nation pre-eminently struck another nation, we would denounce their activities. Shame on all you right wing, holier than thou, propaganda filled nuts. |
